Under direction of the Office of Energy Manager, serves as the program administrator of the Energy Program by organizing, planning, executing, and implementing policies and programs.
Cultivates and maintains internal and external relationships; facilitates the development of collaborations and alliances with outside stakeholders; serves as a liaison and representative of the Office of Energy Manager representing the program at meetings and events.
Assists in the administration of the Energy Program by providing expert level administrative, organizational and technical support; develops and implements tracking and follow-up procedures; conducts highly complex technical monitoring; prepares complex technical reports mandated by statute.
Serves as a backup to the Office of Energy Manager as requested. Travels in the performance of duties.
Education and Experience: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration. Requires one year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
Specialized Skills: Of the one year required administrative experience: requires experience in energy policy, energy program design and implementation, energy efficiency incentive programs, renewable generation projects, or consumer education about energy efficiency or renewable generation, and, experience in developing and presenting informational programs to large and small groups.
Specific Job Requirements: Requires the ability to utilize a personal computer with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access software. Requires the ability to travel and a valid driver’s license.
