This week, the Trump administration announced plans to create an ad hoc group of scientists to review the conclusion set forth in the National Climate Assessment (released in 2018) that the continued burning of fossil fuels is harming the planet. This represents the most aggressive attempt by this administration to undermine scientific consensus around climate change.
