What exactly does it take to declare a product “carbon-neutral”? The steps taken by M.E. Heuck Co., which makes housewares, serve as a high-level illustration of what it can take. The result was the development of the Zeroca cookware line, made of 100 percent recycled steel, with farm-managed bamboo handles. The latter is particular important, because most handles are made from either cast stainless steel or Bakelight.
