Cedar Springs: School buses to run on biodiesel

CEDAR SPRINGS — Save money. Be healthier.

That’s an attractive combination for Cedar Springs administrators, with the cost of biodiesel lower than traditional diesel. As part of a switch to a new vendor, the Board of Education approved a 20 percent soy-based fuel for use in district buses, a move that should cut costs and be better both for vehicles and students, administrators said.
